Unleashing the Entrepreneurial Spirit

March 13, 20232 min read

As a fashion designer and entrepreneur, I have always been influenced by my diverse background and education. My designs are a combination of unique colors, patterns, and styles that appeal to people of all ages, from 16 to 60+. I am inspired by nature, vintage art, poster art, and famous paintings, and use apps and digital backgrounds to create my designs. My sense of style is firmly ingrained in the 70s hippie period, and I describe my clothes as “hobo chic,” a combination of different things being thrown together in a unique way.

My entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in my designs, with patterns and colors that make my fashions unique and different from what is commonly found in the market. People appreciate my unique style, which is inspired by my 70s upbringing and my varied background of moving around a lot as a child, making international friends, and studying French, Russian, Italian, Latin, and English.

I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but being a stay-at-home mom for five years meant I wasn't always in a position to make it happen. However, my personality was on display at a young age, as I have always been a free spirit, marching to the beat of my own drum, dressing and behaving the way I wanted to.

I have a degree in French and International Business from Penn State and have always been interested in political science, history, and languages. All of these experiences have led me to where I am today, with my store Single Tree Lane selling apparel and home décor lines with positive messages for women based on art and seven heroines.

My designs are a personal and unique process, starting with a picture or suggestion, and I go into a zone when I am inspired. Sometimes, this zone can last for a month as I design different items, and I cannot explain my process, only that it is divinely guided and innate.

My background and education have played a significant role in shaping my design style, and my entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in my unique and eye-catching fashions. I hope to continue inspiring others with my living garments that change and evolve over time.
